Born in a small town in Palpa, Dr. Sushil Pandey emerged as one of Nepal’s most respected policy strategists. After earning his Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru University, he dedicated over two decades to public sector reform and evidence-based governance. His research on fiscal federalism influenced Nepal’s decentralization strategy during the post-2015 period. Beyond academia, Dr. Pandey mentored numerous young policy professionals and served as a trusted advisor to several ministries. His legacy is not only in the policies he helped shape but also in the leaders he inspired to think ethically and act strategically for national progress.
